OCCUPATIONAL
Mind Over Matter Pediatric Therapy Center, LLC has been established to service children and adolescents with occupational, physical, and speech therapy outside of their home and school environments. Our therapists are state certified and highly qualified to evaluate children with developmental delays, intellectual and learning disabilities, sensory integration and processing disorders, mental health and behavioral issues, ADHD, autism, pervasive developmental disorders, birth injuries, birth defects, congenital disorders including Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, spina bifida, cystic fibrosis, and fragile X syndrome.
SPEECH
Our speech language pathology (SLP) and assistant provide effective treatment strategies for communication problems in both spoken and written language, speech delays and disorders, such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyspraxia, auditory processing disorders, articulation issues, swallowing, drooling and difficulty eating due to weak oral motor control.
SLPs can help treat receptive, expressive and pragmatic language which can be life changing. Therapy sessions may include attention and focus to improve social skills as well as learning, processing, and study skills.
PHYSICAL
Additional conditions include obesity, diabetes, traumatic injuries, broken bones or other orthopedic injuries, burns, traumatic amputation, post-surgical recovery, chronic illness such as cancer, multiple sclerosis, and juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. A comprehensive plan of care will then be determined. Our occupational and physical therapy team may also assist children with specialized equipment such as wheelchairs, splints, bathing equipment, dressing devices, and communication aids.
Furthermore, our therapists will give you and your child strategies to deal with obstacles more effectively.
A specific home exercise plan is vital for the carry-over of specific training and helps reinforce the skills your child is learning. Our focus is for your child to reach each goal and achieve future success.
